In conjunction with Earth Day 2021, MK@Westwood launched the annual “Start Small Dream Big” Project on 22 April 2021 with a day of carnival games fun! Our project aims to instil in children a sense of responsibility and care for the environment and provide opportunities for them to play their parts in taking care of the planet that we live on.
The SSDB launch day was fun and meaningful for both children and parents alike as they had bonded over the home activity of brainstorming and creating carnival games using recycled materials. Submissions of more than 50 games were received. Due to wet weather, the selected carnival games had to be situated indoors but that did not dampen the spirits of the children who were excited to showcase and play the games with the rest of their friends!
Through this activity, the children learnt about recycling and reusing items that were already available at home and to repurpose them for learning fun!
