During the June term break, children of Hampton Pre-School (Bishan) did their part to promote a healthy lifestyle.
The teachers created awareness to the PN/N1 children on how the children can help in keeping the environment clean. During the outdoor walks at Bishan East Community Park, the children were happily picking up litters to keep the park clean and green.
The N2 children were engaged in creating a recycling area for their class. After discussing on the different kinds of materials that are recyclable, the children brought in these materials and set their very own recycling area in class. They also designed their own recycling signage.
The K1 and K2 children were introduced to what is healthy and unhealthy food through ‘My Healthy Plate’ and how to eat healthily. The healthy symbol was introduced by the teachers and children learnt that they should choose food with this symbol.
In conjunction with the Healthy Lifestyle Day on 18 June 2021, all the children participated in healthy workouts, various ball games and the making of healthy snacks!
The month of June has definitely taught the school community on how to continue to keep the planet and ourselves healthy!
