Children were introduced to the concept of Care and Concern and we read the big book titled “Becky and the Great Outdoors” together. They enjoyed learning about the new characters and understood the importance of caring for not only family members, but friends as well. Children kept mentioning how they had to love and care for the elderly (grandpa and grandma) by giving a hug, using nice words and always lending a helping hand. Children enjoyed colouring their hand template “I am big enough to care”. They were invited to raise their hand while using the big hand craft when they saw Becky needed help in the book. They were encouraged to say “I am big enough to care!”
