After the children were educated about the importance of plants in the environment and how plants impact the world globally, they became more appreciative of the environment. They started reminding each other not to waste paper, doing crafts with rough paper. One child in the class will also make consistent effort in washing his Yakult bottle after drinking, and placing it into the recycle bin.
The children then helped to clean up the recycling area, categorising the materials into Paper, Plastic and Cardboard. In the midst of cleaning up, they learnt that some papers cannot be recycled. For example, laminated paper.
Not all things are recyclable. We have to think about it before throwing it into the recycling bins. For objects that are not recyclable, we should try to reduce the usage of it.
