National Day with Love

As part of our nation’s 52nd birthday celebration, our centre embarked on a giving-back initiative involving all our children and parents. We conducted a donation drive for our upcoming visit to a nursing home. This donation drive went on throughout the whole national day week and the response was overwhelming! Parents and children came down with many different kinds of food and beverages to donate for the residents at NTUC nursing home.

Apart from the donation drive, it was also time for our children to show off their (recycled) fruits of labour in their shadow puppet performance titled “Our Singapore Story”. We had a fun-filled National Day celebration on the 8th August 2017, with family members coming down to celebrate this occasion. They sang songs, danced to music and even blew a big birthday cake! But the highlight of the event was the performance that our selected group of ambassadors have spent many weeks rehearsing.

Our children were beaming with pride as they presented the fruits of their hard work. Parents and friends were all mesmerized by the wonderful performance. We are all very proud of how far our little ones have come on this SSDB journey together. Now that we have completed the National Day celebratory performance, we have one final performance to give, and that is for the old folks!

Until our final update,

MK@Westwood
