PCF Sparkletots Preschool @ Tampines North Blk 483 has been invovled in the SSDB project for the 3rd running year. This year, we have embarked on the community initiative of the Kindness Fridge led by Mr Baey Yam Keng (MP for Tampines GRC). This has sparked off a big kindness movement in PCF Sparkletots Preschool @ Tampines North Blk 483 (KN). Teachers with supportive parents bring a class of students on every Wednesday to donate food stuff into the 2 refrigerators meant to help the needy residents.
However, realising that getting parents to donate food stuff on a long run will not be feasible. With this in mind, we started our ‘My Kind of Garden’ in front of our school doorstep. The garden is taken care by individual classes of the school and we have succesfully harvested the vegetables for the fridge.
Adding on, we went to All Saints Home which was our 1st year project. We did not want to stop the annual visit even though we have new ideas for this year SSDB. We did marble rolling artwork with the elderly. They enjoyed the children company most. Together with that, we had children to do personalised mugs with handmade bear from towels by the PSG of the centre. This is to appreciate the nurses for taking care of our pioneers.
This comes with the intention to reinforce the values of community giving in the little minds, the centre hopes to build caring and gracious future leaders.
