Our school continued its participation in the SSDB (Start Small, Dream Big) project for the year 2022. In line with the theme “Our Family, Our Community” we continued our partnership with SARAH Senior Activity Centre. Children learn to appreciate and give back to the elderly through various activities.
Teachers from playgroup to kindergarten classes read storybooks about the elderly. It served as the springboard, The older children also talked about their fondest memories with their grandparents.
As for the younger children, the parents helped to snap photos of their children spending quality time with their grandparents. The activities in the shared photos involved playing together, reading books, going outside, and eating together. The younger group had a show and tell session were they shared that they have enjoyed their activities with their grandparents.
