Children were exposed to Semakau Landfill to find out where do all the rubbish goes to. They watched a tour of the landfill and the amount of rubbish collected here in Singapore. They knew that the landfill is getting filled up and there will be no more space for our rubbish there. From this lesson, the children were reminded on the importance of recycling. They shared that they do practice recycling at home by reusing the plastic bags from groceries. To encourage them to continue this habit, we started an initiative of collecting all recyclable materials on every Monday. Children will bring in the materials and they will send it to the recycling bin near to the school. Good job kids!
