Little Hands, Big Hearts

The “Start Small Dream Big” launch party was successfully held last 19 June 2021 at E-Bridge Preschool (Circuit Road). Our N2 children, the teachers and stakeholders were all excited as the project was unveiled to them, focusing on the theme, “Little Hands, Big Heart.”

The class was decorated with hanging SSDB logos, balloons and posters that were created by the children themselves prior the event. Everyone was excited as the “orange hats” were passed to them, creating an ambience that is joyous and inviting for our “Special Agents.” Further discussing about the SSDB theme this year, songs and stories that tackle about kindness were introduced as the children also discovered our partner groups like the CARElderly and Migrant Workers Centre, which they will be working with this coming July and August.

Through the SSDB logos that they brought home to decorate with their mummies and daddies, our N2 Special Agents confidently showcased their crafts in front of their peers and teachers, saying a sentence or two about their completed work. Some were able to use recycled materials to design and accessorise their SSDB logos such as soap boxes, milk containers and bottle caps.

Closing the program, the children performed Singapore Kindness Movement’s original song and dance titled, “Kindness Is Up To Us.”

Everyone will keep on to their promises to strengthen communication and community partnership during these difficult times. Our centre will also maintain a partnership with our chosen groups (i.e CARElderly, Migrant Workers Centre) to develop our children’s compassion and respect towards other people.
