An extension of our Earth Day celebration on recycling, children from Posso Preschool @ West Coast Rise embarked on their ‘Start Small, Dream Big (SSDB)’ journey which promotes children to be resourceful and creative while giving back to society. This whole process instils the spirit of giving and good values such as care for others, humility, kindness and compassion.
To kick start this journey, our centre launched the SSDB “Plant-A-Tree” campaign on 21 June 2022. This aims to encourage sustainability and raise awareness amongst children to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. To inculcate those values and educate children on the importance of protecting our planet from deforestation and preserve the land we live on, children designed Eco tote bags, pouches and stationery holders to raise funds. The proceeds of this fundraising campaign were donated to support the ‘One Million Tree’ programme by NParks.SSDB – Go Green, the Recycle of Life!
