Our centre celebrated Chinese New Year on 18th February. The Member of Parliament for Fengshan, Ms Cheryl Chan, graced our event on that day. Our K2 boys welcomed the arrival of our guests and parents with an auspicious lion dance performance!
Our teachers sang, danced and played musical instruments to popular Chinese New Year songs - Gong Xi Gong Xi, Ban Nian Ge and Happy New Year.
The children from toddlers to kindergarten 2 donned their festive costumes and performed Chinese New Year Songs for their families, friends and guests. We even had our little emcees from K1, who spoke in English and Mandarin, to introduce the performing acts.
After the performance, parents, children and our guests did the prosperity toss or also known as the Lou Hei. The Yu Sheng were freshly prepared by our dearest parent volunteers before the event!
Various games and hands-on activities were prepared for everyone. These include dumpling making, rice ball making, Chinese calligraphy, puzzles, chinese idioms activity and guessing game!
