Activity 6: Sustainable Stories Alive

Our center believes in nurturing a love for reading in children and to make that happen, we have designed a unique program called Stories Alive. This program is all about bringing stories to life by immersing children in an interactive and engaging experience. Our dedicated teachers take on the roles of various characters from popular children’s stories and encourage the children to actively participate in the storytelling process.

To make the experience even more exciting, we have incorporated a strong focus on sustainability. We have encouraged parents to get creative and dress their children up as sea creatures using only recycled materials. This not only promotes the importance of reusing and repurposing items, but also allows the children to explore their imaginative side.

In addition to the costumes, we have ensured that most of the decorations used for this event are from previous events and the children’s previous lesson artworks. By reusing these items, we reduce waste and contribute to a more sustainable environment. The remaining props and decorations have been carefully stored for future use, allowing us to continue our commitment to sustainability.

It was heartwarming to witness the active participation of parents in creating an event that aligns with our values of sustainability. Through their efforts, we were able to create an event that not only captivated the children’s interest but also instilled in them a sense of responsibility towards our planet.
